About the role#
As a Financial Planning Intern at Mariner, you will support our staff in servicing high net worth and ultra high net worth clients. This role focuses on holistic financial planning and client relationship support. You will gain experience in advisory, consultative, and business development tasks through hands-on work with our advisors.
What you'll do#
- Support client onboarding by preparing and processing necessary paperwork.
- Assist in scheduling client meetings and developing clear, engaging materials to explain financial concepts.
- Participate in client meeting follow-up tasks including documentation, research, and solution development.
- Use financial planning and CRM software to assist with plan development and data management.
- Assist with data entry, plan modeling, and compiling plan deliverables.
- Contribute to team discussions on improving client service and business development.
- Support account maintenance and money movement processes.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, with an expected graduation date within 12 months of the start of the internship.
- You have demonstrated leadership experience through work or extracurricular activities.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- You have a strong interest in learning financial planning tools and CRM systems.
- You possess strong customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
