About the role#
Michael Baker International is hiring a Civil Intern to join the Surface Transportation team in Columbia, South Carolina. You will work under the guidance of Project Engineers and Project Managers to support various infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Generate design calculations, technical reports, and cost estimates.
- Create discipline-specific construction plans and technical specifications.
- Assist with construction inspection activities under the direction of a Construction Manager.
- Research and solve technical problems in the field.
- Ensure all work conforms to project plans and specifications.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage your time effectively.
- Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD is preferred.
