About the role#
Michael Baker International is hiring part-time interns for Summer 2026. You will work in the field on Indoor Mapping projects. This role involves collaborating with a team of GIS and Project Managers on technical duties and daily tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist with Indoor Mapping field collection projects.
- Conduct field work on specified days, typically Friday through Sunday.
- Travel to various locations within the state of Kansas for data collection.
- Work approximately 20 to 40 hours per week.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an Associate or Bachelor degree in GIS, Geography, Science, or a related field.
- A focus in GIS, Geography, or Environmental Practice is preferred.
- Proficiency in GIS software and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with the organization and presentation of documentation.
- A valid US Driver's License.
- Current residency in the state of Kansas.
Location & details#
- This is an on-site, paid internship.
- The pay rate is approximately $18 to $22 per hour.
- Field work occurs within Kansas, including locations such as Coffeyville, Parsons, and Beloit.
- Travel expenses for work-related travel within Kansas are covered.
