    About the role#

    This internship provides experience in the food manufacturing environment. You will work on projects based on current business needs, such as process improvements, yield optimization, and waste reduction. You will gain insight into how a food manufacturing line operates while providing support to the supply chain group.

    What you'll do#

    • Complete a project based on business needs and present your findings to senior management.
    • Perform data collection and analysis using MS Access and Excel.
    • Create mathematical models using secondary and tertiary data.
    • Manage technical projects to deliver cost savings.
    • Collaborate across departments including Operations, Safety, Quality, Warehouse, and IT.
    • Map out processes and conduct root-cause analyses using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
    • Provide day-to-day support to the supply chain team.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a 4-year degree at an accredited institution.
    • Preferred majors include Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science.
    • Candidates between their Junior and Senior years are typically considered.

    • Location: Aurora, Illinois.
    • Term: Summer 2027.
    • Modality: On-site, full-time.
    • Compensation: This is a paid internship with an hourly rate of $22.00.
    • Physical requirements: The role may require lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, and standing or walking on concrete flooring for less than 4 hours.
