About the role#
The Acquisitions & Capital Team Internship provides an opportunity to work within a team focused on multifamily and commercial real estate. Interns gain exposure to acquisitions, asset management, and fundraising processes. You will report to Associates, AVPs, and VPs while working alongside Key Principals.
What you'll do#
- Perform multifamily and commercial underwriting using Argus and Excel.
- Conduct research on market demographics, rental rates, expenses, and comparable sales.
- Execute due diligence on potential investment properties.
- Prepare and present data to MLG staff in both formal and informal settings.
- Assist in the creation of private equity and investor marketing campaigns.
- Abstract leases and conduct site visits to properties.
- Help prepare letters of intent, closing statements, and investment offerings.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as an undergraduate student in Accounting, Finance, Real Estate, Marketing, or Data Science.
- An anticipated graduation date between Fall 2027 and Spring 2028.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5.
- At least six months of finance or real estate related classroom experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to travel 5-10% of the time for property visits.
