About the role#
This summer internship offers the opportunity to join the Applied Technologies team in Norwood, Massachusetts. You will work alongside engineers and scientists to support the design, development, and testing of automation solutions used in technical development. This role is for a hands-on learner who enjoys solving technical problems and translating ideas into practical solutions.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to a defined automation, robotics, or systems engineering project under the guidance of an engineer or scientist.
- Support the development, configuration, and testing of laboratory automation systems, robotic platforms, instruments, or software.
- Analyze test or experimental data and summarize findings to support engineering decisions.
- Develop or modify scripts, workflows, automation methods, or software tools.
- Present project progress, technical findings, and recommendations to the team at the conclusion of the internship.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in engineering, computer science, bioengineering, robotics, automation, life sciences, or a related technical discipline.
- Completion of relevant coursework or project experience involving programming, robotics, mechatronics, or laboratory automation.
- Demonstrated interest in applying engineering or digital technologies to scientific problems.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

- Term: Summer 2027 (June 7, 2027 - August 20, 2027).
- Modality: Hybrid (70% in-office).
- Status: Full-time and paid.
