About the role#
This internship provides exposure to power and thermal management technologies, laboratory testing operations, and the application of AI tools to improve engineering workflows. You will support technical initiatives within the Innovation Lab, helping to improve engineering productivity, knowledge sharing, and decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Work with engineers and lab personnel to understand test activities, equipment, procedures, and operational workflows.
- Develop and maintain a custom AI agent that serves as a knowledge assistant.
- Expand the agent’s capabilities to enable it to assist with system troubleshooting and data analysis.
- Evaluate and improve AI assistant performance through prompt engineering, retrieval optimization, and user feedback analysis.
- Support data analytics and insight generation across Innovation Lab activities.
- Perform applied data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Engineering, Physics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Strong foundation in mechanical or electrical engineering fundamentals.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and a demonstrated work ethic.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats.
- Willingness to learn quickly in a hands-on environment and deliver high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively in a team setting.
