About the role#
We are hiring a Data Engineer Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will work alongside our engineering team on projects that support our enterprise software and data strategy. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Build and maintain data pipelines for analytics and application development.
- Contribute to data architecture using AWS and Databricks.
- Gather, clean, and transform data from various sources into usable formats.
- Collaborate with software developers, data analysts, and product teams to understand data needs.
- Use generative AI tools to improve productivity and problem-solving.
- Document processes and participate in team meetings and code reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree or post secondary program in Data Science, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Familiarity with SQL and at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
- Interest in cloud platforms like AWS and big data tools such as Spark or Databricks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Location & details#
- This is a hybrid role. You must be able to work from one of our offices in Cedar Rapids, IA, Lake Saint Louis, MO, or Mandan, ND.
- You are required to work in the office at least 3 days per week, with the option to work up to 5 days per week.
