About the role#
The John M. Lilley Library at Penn State Behrend is hiring student assistants for the Fall 2026 and Winter 2027 terms. This role supports library operations and helps students and faculty access resources. You will work shifts scheduled around your classes.
What you'll do#
- Assist patrons at the circulation desk.
- Shelve library materials and keep collections organized.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Provide basic reference services to library visitors.
- Help staff in various service areas as needed.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- A commitment to working well within a team.
- Ability to work some evening shifts until 10:00pm.
- Ability to work occasional Sunday shifts.
- This role is open to students in majors such as Communications, Logistics, Business Administration, Psychology, and Sociology.
