About the role#
Penn State Extension is hiring a part-time Field and Forage Crops Intern. This role supports the College of Agricultural Sciences with various field activities. You will work 30 hours per week on a flexible schedule. This is a paid position at $17.75 per hour, plus travel compensation.
What you'll do#
- Perform crop scouting to monitor health and development.
- Collect data directly from fields.
- Assist with research trials.
- Visit farms to provide support to clients.
What you'll need#
- A background in agricultural science, environmental engineering, or biology.
- Access to a motor vehicle for travel.
- Ability to pass a standard background check.
- Successful completion of a motor vehicle records screening.
Location & details#
- The position is based in Wayne County, Pennsylvania.
- You will travel to Lackawanna, Pike, Susquehanna, and Wyoming Counties.
- This is an on-site, part-time role.
