About the role#
As a Monitoring & Insights Intern, you will support the Intelligence division by tracking media coverage and stakeholder sentiment. You will work with large volumes of news and data to produce real-time alerts and long-form analysis for global clients. This role focuses on identifying trends, creating visualizations, and translating data into clear insights to help clients navigate reputation and policy risks.
What you'll do#
- Monitor news and events across print, digital, television, radio, and social media.
- Collaborate with analysts to deliver timely news alerts to clients.
- Collect and prepare data for media analysis and scheduled reports.
- Create pivot tables in Excel and update report graphics.
- Write descriptive text to explain trends behind the data.
- Assist with long-term research projects.
- Validate and interpret reputation risk scores from internal platforms.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor degree, with a preference for communications, journalism, economics, history, or social sciences.
- Experience writing analytical reports and creating presentations in Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
- Proficiency in Excel for exploratory data analysis and visualization.
- Strong communication, organizational, and writing skills.
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to understand the meaning behind data.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work well in a team.
Location & details#
- Term: Summer 2026.
- Work Modality: Remote for applicants based on the West Coast of the United States.
- Schedule: 35 to 40 hours per week, 11 am to 7 pm PT. Rotational weekend shifts are required every six weeks.
- Compensation: $20 per hour, non-exempt status with overtime pay eligibility.
