About the role#
As a Quality Engineer Intern at Pratt & Whitney, you will join the Operations, Supply Chain & Quality team for the Summer 2027 term. This full-time, on-site role focuses on maintaining quality performance and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will work in a results-based culture, collaborating with various functions to address complex problems and ensure program objectives are met.
What you'll do#
- Participate in root cause analysis and develop corrective and preventative action solutions.
- Analyze and interpret quality trends.
- Ensure compliance with Raytheon and contract program requirements for both internal teams and external suppliers.
- Interface with the supplier base to resolve open issues.
- Review and disposition nonconformances and nonconforming material.
- Coordinate with customers and the DCMA to ensure compliance and resolve reported issues.
- Review major deliverables, including test results and anomaly conditions, to ensure contract compliance before delivery.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Chemical Engineering or a related STEM field, with at least 60 credit hours completed by the start date.
- Experience with Quality and Mission Assurance processes, tools, and Microsoft Office.
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Prior experience in an RTX internship, co-op, or work role is preferred.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement processes, such as Six Sigma, Lean Methodologies, or the RTX CORE Operating System, is preferred.
Location & details#
- This position is located in Andover, Massachusetts.
- The role is strictly on-site and requires time spent in and around factory areas.
- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance.
