About the role#
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Systems Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This role supports the Integrated Systems Team in the integration, verification, and validation of complex air defense systems. You will work on radar, missile, and ground system programs, contributing to the planning and execution of system tests in hardware-in-the-loop facilities and flight tests.
What you'll do#
- Support the planning, execution, and reporting for integration and verification tests for hardware, software, or flight tests.
- Maintain the Verification Cross Reference Matrix within the DOORS requirements database.
- Develop detailed integration and verification information sheets.
- Perform data analysis for radar hardware, software, or simulations using MATLAB.
- Support system or software regression testing and analyze the resulting data.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software anomalies to identify root causes and verify fixes.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Advanced degree in a STEM field and actively enrolled through the end of the internship.
- Minimum of 30 credit hours completed by the start of the internship.
- Experience troubleshooting electronics and software (specifically C or C++).
- Proficiency in data analysis using MATLAB.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. government Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
- Prior engineering internship experience, knowledge of radar signal processing, or familiarity with Linux environments are preferred.
