About the role#
Savage is seeking a student for a 3-month internship within our Finance & Commercial team for Summer 2027. This role provides hands-on exposure to financial analysis, commercial strategy, operational reporting, and asset economics. You will work directly with finance, commercial, and operations leaders on projects that improve visibility into business performance, customer service, and profitability.
What you'll do#
- Develop and enhance customer KPI dashboards to track performance.
- Partner with finance, commercial, and operations teams to gather requirements, validate data, and translate business needs into reports.
- Support CRM data clean-up initiatives to improve data quality.
- Analyze customer, job, haul, and operational profitability to identify trends and margin drivers.
- Assist with equipment rebuild and asset-related analysis, including utilization reviews and return-on-investment evaluations.
- Support extended warranty, maintenance, and ownership cost analysis.
- Prepare ad hoc financial, operational, and commercial analysis to support business planning.
- Summarize findings and recommendations through presentations and reports for stakeholders.
- Participate in team meetings, project reviews, and business discussions.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Analytics, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.3 is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to organize data, identify trends, and communicate insights effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
- Experience collaborating in a team environment.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn from cross-functional leaders.
- Experience with Power BI, CRM systems, SQL, or Power Query is a plus.

- Location: Midvale, Utah.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site, Monday to Friday.
- Compensation: $20 to $25 per hour.
