About the role#
Sonaca North America is hiring an Engineering Intern to join our team in St. Charles, Missouri. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term. You will work on-site, collaborating with our engineering staff to support active projects and gain experience in the aerospace and defense industry.
What you'll do#
- Support the development of technical documentation, including specifications and reports.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to conduct research and gather data for projects.
- Assist in the preparation and updating of project schedules and timelines.
- Use CAD software to create and modify engineering drawings.
- Conduct simulations and analyze results to support engineering decisions.
- Attend meetings and technical reviews to track project progress and challenges.
- Support quality assurance processes by participating in inspections and reviews.
- Provide administrative and technical support for project documentation and filing.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.25.
- A basic understanding of aerospace principles and technologies.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
