About the role#
The Finance & Accounting Intern supports our team with financial reporting, data entry, and month-end close tasks. You will gain hands-on experience in investment operations and financial analysis, specifically regarding our real estate tax lien certificates and broader asset portfolio.
What you'll do#
- Assist with the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and reconciliations under supervision.
- Build and maintain financial models to support transaction and portfolio analysis.
- Prepare internal financial statements and related schedules.
- Research accounting guidance to help determine the treatment of specific transactions.
- Account for public and private capital transactions.
- Manage cash flow between internal entities and assist with treasury activities.
- Support annual financial statement audits and compliance requests.
- Collaborate on ad hoc projects and reporting requests.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with the intent to obtain a CPA license.
- A minimum 3.5 GPA is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- You are highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
