About the role#
Tenaska Marketing Ventures is looking for a Market Risk Intern to support the daily valuation and risk measurement of natural gas derivative products. This is a year-round, on-site position based in Omaha. You will work with experienced professionals to gain practical experience in financial modeling, risk management, and business operations. You are expected to work approximately 20 hours per week during the academic year and 40 hours per week during the summer.
What you'll do#
- Compile and review daily risk reports and assist with project-related activities.
- Research and analyze valuation and risk inquiries from management to identify trends.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional stakeholders to support business objectives and improve workflows.
- Develop presentations to communicate analytical results and recommendations to leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current undergraduate student in Accounting, Finance, Business Intelligence, or Mathematics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
- Formal training in statistics and probability theory.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate findings clearly in both written and verbal formats.
- Dependable and reliable attendance.
