About the role#
The Disney Eats Social Media and Digital Comms Intern supports communication and promotion for Disney Experiences global food and beverage. This full-time, six-month internship runs from January 2027 through June 2027. You will report to the Digital Integration Specialist and gain experience in professional writing, photography, and graphic design while building relationships across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Produce creative content for platforms including the Disney Parks Blog, Disney Eats Instagram, and Facebook.
- Ideate, capture, and edit social content throughout parks and resorts.
- Write engaging, audience-focused blog posts.
- Support Food and Beverage aspects of Public Relations and broadcast media events.
- Monitor and interact with social comments on Disney Eats platforms.
- Manage Smartsheet for blog tracking and submit project request forms.
- Pull social statistics for weekly reporting.
- Route social approvals across internal teams.
- Maintain and update the Disney Eats photo library.
What you'll need#
- Junior or senior standing pursuing a degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, Public Affairs, Digital Media, or Customer Engagement.
- A portfolio showcasing your best written and visual work is required for your application.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and communicate updates effectively.
- Knowledge of social media platforms and best practices.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work with teams at all levels.
- Preferred experience includes Adobe Creative Suite, videography, photography, WordPress, Keynote, Smartsheet, or Monday.com.
- Helpful experience includes social tracking tools like Sprinklr or Adobe Analytics, previous communications work, and knowledge of Walt Disney World property.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with unrestricted work authorization.
Location & details#
- Location: Bay Lake, Florida.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, typically Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with possible weekend or off-hour shifts.
- Compensation: $23.00 per hour.
- Requirements: Must provide own housing and reliable transportation. Must be aligned with The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
