About the role#
The Student Intern Coop Program at UMass Memorial Medical Center provides an opportunity to integrate school academics with on the job training. You will work under direct supervision to perform routine duties and assist with departmental projects. This role focuses on learning through observation and active collaboration with hospital caregivers.
What you'll do#
- Assist with various departmental tasks and projects.
- Collaborate with department caregivers and communicate with co-workers, managers, and patients.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, sorting, assembling, and distributing documents or mail.
- Use computers for basic data entry and to complete forms.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and seminars as required.
- Support daily operations by applying quality improvement practices.
- Follow all health and safety regulations and departmental policies.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
What you'll need#
- You must be a current high school student.
- Basic skills in communication, reading, writing, and math.
- Ability to use computers for basic data entry and clerical tasks.
- Capacity to follow instructions and work well with others.
- A commitment to the Standards of Respect, including acknowledging, listening, and being a team player.

- Location: Leominster, Massachusetts.
- Modality: On-site.
- Employment: Part-time, paid position.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, with a rolling term.
