About the role#
We are looking for an Innovation Lab Intern to support technical initiatives and data analytics within our lab. This role provides exposure to power and thermal management technologies, laboratory testing operations, and the use of AI tools to improve engineering workflows. You will work with engineers and lab personnel to learn about test activities, equipment, and operational procedures.
What you'll do#
- Develop and maintain a custom AI agent to serve as a knowledge assistant for technical documentation and engineering standards.
- Expand the agent to assist with system troubleshooting and data analysis.
- Evaluate and improve AI performance through prompt engineering, retrieval optimization, and user feedback analysis.
- Collaborate with lab personnel to understand and support daily testing workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Engineering, Physics, Data Science, Statistics, or Computer Science.
- A strong foundation in mechanical or electrical engineering fundamentals.
- Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to communicate clearly in written and verbal formats.
- Capability to work independently and contribute to a team.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
