About the role#
We are hiring Engineering Interns for Summer 2027 to join our team in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. This is a full-time, on-site, paid internship designed to provide practical experience in machinery manufacturing. You will work alongside our engineering staff, project leaders, and managers to support the development of crane systems.
What you'll do#
- Support engineering staff with basic assignments in the design and development of crane control systems, structures, and mechanisms.
- Participate in planning, technology research, functional design, prototyping, and component testing.
- Gain exposure to the full product development process, including design reviews, structural fabrication, and final assembly.
- Work with embedded controllers, hydraulic control systems, material selection, and production improvements.
- Observe manufacturing principles, quality assurance processes, and production changes.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited university pursuing a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar field.
- A minimum G.P.A. of 3.0/4.0.
- Interest in new product development, construction equipment, and manufacturing.
- Mechanical inclination.
- Experience with 3D engineering software, preferably Creo (ProENGINEER).
