About the role#
We are looking for an ambitious student to join our Belcamp manufacturing facility for Summer 2027. As a Process Engineering Intern, you will support projects and continuous improvement initiatives focused on standardizing work processes, improving equipment reliability, and enhancing operational performance. You will collaborate with teams across the plant to help ensure the safe and efficient production of high-quality food ingredients.
What you'll do#
- Support process improvement and operational excellence initiatives across manufacturing areas to enhance safety, quality, reliability, and efficiency.
- Assist with engineering projects from concept through implementation, including data collection, analysis, testing, and documentation.
- Update and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, batch records, equipment information, and process workflows.
- Participate in plant continuous improvement programs, such as 5S, visual management, root cause analysis, and standardization initiatives.
- Assist with operator training, implementation of new processes, and deployment of process improvements on the manufacturing floor.
What you'll need#
- Progress towards a Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Completion of at least two years of undergraduate coursework.
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written technical communication skills.
- Reliable transportation to get to and from the facility each workday.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
- A critical thinking and continuous improvement mindset.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship for this position.
