About the role#
The Technical Writing Intern supports senior writers by researching, writing, and editing customer-facing documentation. You will focus on user manuals and installation guides, particularly for the Thermal Business Unit. This role involves managing projects from start to finish while building relationships with global business units and OEM customers.
What you'll do#
- Write and edit product documentation for advanced technology products following established standards.
- Interview engineers and technical personnel to gather information and ensure document accuracy.
- Assemble documentation in the correct Vertiv or OEM format to maintain consistent organization.
- Manage project schedules to meet assigned deadlines.
- Handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor degree program or higher in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related technical writing field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with AI technology in technical writing.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and editing skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask in an international team environment.
- Experience with style sheets, style guides, and editing processes.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, Adobe InDesign, and Madcap Flare or similar single-source publishing tools.
- A self-motivated approach and a desire to work as a team player.

- This is a paid, full-time internship for Summer 2027.
- The role is based on-site in Westerville, Ohio.
