About the role#
As an Engineering Intern at Westinghouse Electric Canada, you will support business growth while gaining hands-on experience with technical and management tasks. You will report to the Director of CANDU Engineering and Tooling. This role runs for 8 months starting in May 2027.
What you'll do#
- Develop technical aspects of offers across various product portfolios, including custom outage-based tooling systems.
- Create conceptual solutions with engineering teams for inclusion in project proposals.
- Support the Customer Solutions Team by preparing monthly demand reports based on the project pipeline.
- Work with Project Management teams to track the status of active projects.
- Coordinate with Global Supply Chain Solutions and QA teams to gather cost estimates and technical information for bids.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in your 2nd year or graduation from a Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Nuclear engineering program.
- A minimum GPA of 75%.
- Practical skills gained through previous jobs, school projects, or personal interests.
- An understanding of CANDU nuclear technology.
Location & details#
- Location: Burlington, Ontario.
- Modality: Hybrid, with 2 days per week required at the Burlington office.
- Term: Summer 2027 start.
- Status: Full-time, paid internship.
