    About the role#

    The Hardware Engineering Intern will join the Product Lifecycle Engineering team in Indianapolis for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will support departmental goals by evaluating product designs and performing assigned engineering tasks under the supervision of experienced engineers.

    What you'll do#

    • Evaluate engineering design performance of field returns.
    • Troubleshoot products using Structured Troubleshooting techniques.
    • Test and analyze data to assess performance using A3 problem solving and 8D processes.
    • Apply best practices for using electronics test equipment like DMMs and oscilloscopes.
    • Participate in design reviews and provide written input for project reports.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or electronics engineering technology.
    • Completion of sophomore year by the start of the internship.
    • Minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
    • Familiarity with electronics test equipment.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative.
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
    • Self-motivated problem solver who can work with limited supervision.
    • Preferred experience includes circuit design projects, circuit fault finding, IoT, Python, C, Altium Designer, Spice, LabWorks, or Creo Parametric.
