About the role#
As an Operations Leader Intern, you will support the operations leadership team at Allegion. This role focuses on coordinating cross-functional initiatives, analyzing process performance, and driving efficiency improvements. You will work on-site in Indianapolis during the Summer 2027 term.
What you'll do#
- Support team morale and foster employee engagement.
- Coordinate production scheduling and materials management.
- Collect and analyze shop-floor data to maintain performance dashboards.
- Assist with machine setups, quality inspections, and root-cause investigations.
- Conduct safety observations and manage required documentation.
- Communicate project status and operational issues to supervisors and cross-functional teams.
- Support continuous improvement activities and process mapping.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Organizational Leadership.
- Strong academic performance with relevant coursework in production processes, quality control, or operations strategy.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Basic knowledge of lean methodologies, manufacturing principles, and data analysis.
- Ability to work full-time on-site.
