About the role#
This internship offers an opportunity to gain experience in Warehouse and Transportation operations. You will spend the summer learning how our supply chain workflows function and how they interact with other parts of the business. You will take ownership of individual projects and collaborate on team-based assignments to solve real business problems.
What you'll do#
- Train and job-shadow to understand company workflows and business needs.
- Lead assigned projects and participate in a team project with other interns.
- Define problems, conduct research, and perform data analysis to determine effective processes.
- Review, update, and track various operational reports.
- Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste.
- Present your research, findings, and recommendations at the end of the internship.
- Maintain responsibility for the workplace safety of yourself and your co-workers.
What you'll need#
- You are a full-time student in good standing at an accredited college or university.
- You have a minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- You are pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Management, Business, or a related field.
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
- You have the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- You possess effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Previous leadership experience is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: University Park, Illinois.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Commitment: Minimum of 350 hours during the internship.
- Travel: Potential for minimal overnight travel; must be able to travel by all modes of transportation.
