About the role#
As an AI Engineer Intern, you will participate in a 10-week Summer Internship Program within Enterprise Technology Services. You will contribute to real-world technology projects that involve exploring, building, testing, and scaling AI-enabled solutions. You will work alongside engineers, product partners, and data practitioners to understand how enterprise AI systems are designed and delivered responsibly and securely.
What you'll do#
- Support the development and integration of AI/ML models, LLM integrations, and intelligent services into production-like systems.
- Assist with data collection, preprocessing, transformation, and management to enable model training, testing, and validation.
- Contribute to testing, debugging, and improving AI-enabled solutions to strengthen performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, data, risk, and security partners to implement AI-driven solutions.
- Participate in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, stand-ups, demos, retrospectives, and code reviews.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a full-time bachelor’s degree program in fields such as Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Knowledge of Python and foundational data processing technologies.
- Understanding of machine learning concepts, including model training, evaluation, feature engineering, and experimentation.
- Experience using modern AI systems like LLM APIs, prompt-based interactions, retrieval patterns, or generative AI applications.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and documentation skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
