About the role#
AmeriLife is hiring two Paralegal or Legal Operations Interns to support our Legal Department. This is an entry-level opportunity for law, undergraduate, or paralegal students who want hands-on experience in a corporate legal environment. You will learn about contract structures, internal systems, and department workflows while helping us manage legal data.
What you'll do#
- Code, organize, and analyze contract data within our internal systems.
- Review contracts to identify key details like parties, obligations, and renewal terms.
- Maintain accurate contract records by updating databases and trackers.
- Support the intake, routing, and tracking of contracts to keep workflows moving.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and data quality checks for the legal operations team.
- Assist attorneys and staff with administrative and project-based tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a law school, undergraduate program, or paralegal certificate program.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to stay organized and manage deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort handling confidential and time-sensitive information.
