About the role#
AMERIND is seeking an intern to provide logistical and administrative support. This role involves managing office operations, procurement, and member services in a professional environment. The position is open to students or graduates in Business Administration or Communications.
What you'll do#
- Handle procurement for company needs, conferences, and promotional events.
- Provide office support including mail distribution, shipping, and meeting scheduling.
- Process credit card payments from members and handle company-wide utility and vendor invoices.
- Greet guests, answer incoming calls, and direct visitors to the appropriate staff.
- Maintain accurate records, logs, rosters, and directories.
- Assist with data entry, report compilation, and document preparation.
What you'll need#
- Proficiency in business English, including spelling, grammar, and basic arithmetic.
- Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment.
- Ability to operate business computers, office machines, and switchboard systems.
- Capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines simultaneously.
- Ability to sit at a computer and phone for more than 6 hours per day.
- Ability to occasionally lift 20+ lbs and perform tasks requiring physical dexterity.
