    About the role#

    We are looking for engineering students to join our team for a 12-week internship. You will work on spacecraft power electronics, including hardware development and testing. You will be assigned a specific project to ensure you have a tangible impact, supported by a dedicated mentor. This program includes learning sessions and community events to help you build your professional network.

    What you'll do#

    • Design, build, and test non-isolated and isolated power converters for high-reliability space applications.
    • Perform simulations of power stages using SPICE.
    • Model plants and design controllers for specific topologies and control techniques.
    • Use Altium to place components and complete board layouts.
    • Conduct bench-top testing of circuits at the board level using standard lab equipment like oscilloscopes, power supplies, and electronic loads.

    What you'll need#

    • Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Power Electronics, Embedded Systems, or Control. MS graduates are preferred.
    • Expected graduation date in the Fall of 2027 or Spring of 2028.
    • Proficiency in LT Spice, Altium, MathWorks, and C2000 microcontrollers.
    • Ability to commit to a full-time schedule during the Spring or Summer 2027 terms.

    Location & details#

    • This position is based on-site in Los Angeles, California.
    • The internship is a full-time, paid position.
    • Spring interns must be able to pause or adjust academic commitments for the duration of the program.
    • We do not provide visa sponsorship for this role.
