About the role#
This is a paid, full-time summer internship based in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. You will work directly with our engineering staff on technical projects to gain real-world experience in an engineering development environment. The program lasts at least 10 weeks and includes mentorship to support your professional growth.
What you'll do#
- Follow work instructions to learn company fundamentals and new technical skills.
- Perform limited scope testing while supervised by engineers.
- Complete assigned tasks on schedule.
- Collect and assemble data for engineering staff.
- Assist with research in your assigned functional area.
- Run design analyses and calculations under supervision.
- Help engineers with specific design details.
- Participate in a variety of tasks to learn about our engineering methods and practices.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college or university pursuing an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- A diligent, hardworking approach and a willingness to learn.
- Basic knowledge of engineering tools relevant to your discipline.
- Preference is given to students entering their junior or senior year.
- Knowledge of 3-phase power systems, power electronics, control systems, switchgear, motors, mg sets, electronics packaging, or energy conversion is a plus.
