    About the role#

    Apex is looking for engineering students to join our team for the Fall 2026 term. You will work alongside our engineers to solve complex technical problems and learn about satellite development. We pair each intern with a mentor to guide your work and help you grow. You will also participate in learning sessions and community events to connect with other professionals in the industry.

    What you'll do#

    • Contribute to the development of Comet XL and Comet Mini deployable structures.
    • Take ownership of specific engineering challenges.
    • Complete an assigned project to create a real impact on our spacecraft platforms.
    • Participate in scheduled learning sessions to build your knowledge of aerospace systems.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in a BS or MS degree program in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
    • Expected graduation in the Spring or Fall of 2027.
    • Extensive experience using CAD software, specifically NX.
    • Prior hands-on experience building electromechanical systems and soft goods.

    • This is a full-time, paid internship.
    • The role is based on-site in Los Angeles, California.
