About the role#
The Supervisory Teller oversees the daily operations of the Teller line in Bronx, New York. This role balances direct customer service with staff management to ensure the branch runs efficiently. You will delegate tasks, monitor workflows, and provide guidance to the team while maintaining compliance with all bank policies and procedures.
What you'll do#
- Supervise Teller line operations by delegating tasks and monitoring daily work assignments.
- Provide technical guidance to staff on customer service, operating, and regulatory procedures.
- Process a range of transactions from routine deposits to advanced loan payments.
- Identify and resolve customer service issues or complex problems as they arise.
- Train, motivate, and counsel staff to help them develop their skills.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and corporate operational controls to minimize risk.
- Assist with daily ATM proof, vault opening and closing, and branch security procedures.
- Promote bank products and services by identifying sales opportunities and referring customers to the appropriate branch colleagues.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Teller position. Previous supervisory experience is helpful.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to train, motivate, and develop a team.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Detail oriented mindset with the ability to multitask.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work weekends or extended hours as needed.
- Willingness to travel for occasional mandatory training.
