About the role#
We are hiring a student food service worker and barista for the Fall 2026 term at Café 1789. This is a paid, on-site position based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. We welcome students from various fields, including Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Communications, Psychology, and Nursing.
What you'll do#
You will prepare and serve food and drinks to customers. Your daily tasks include assisting with orders, handling cash transactions, and operating the register. You are responsible for keeping service areas clean and following all health and safety guidelines.
What you'll need#
We look for individuals with strong communication skills and a focus on customer service. Previous experience in food preparation or barista work is required. You should have knowledge of food safety regulations and the ability to work in a busy environment.
