About the role#
As an Event Concierge Intern, you serve as a connection between meeting planners, resort guests, and the operational teams at Nemacolin. This 12-week program combines hands-on event coordination with a structured experiential learning project. You will gain experience in client communication and real-time problem solving while supporting complex group programs.
What you'll do#
- Act as a point of contact for meeting planners and in-house groups.
- Partner with Conference Services, Convention Services, and Catering to support event programs.
- Communicate event details and operational expectations clearly to internal teams.
- Contribute to Pre-Convention Meetings, Banquet Event Order Meetings, and Group Resume meetings.
- Monitor event logistics from start to finish.
- Identify opportunities to resolve concerns and support guest needs.
- Complete a structured experiential learning project and a final capstone project.
- Execute special projects assigned by department leaders.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma.
- Active enrollment in or recent graduation from a bachelor's degree program in Hospitality Management, Events, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Previous luxury hospitality experience is preferred.
- Fluent English communication skills.
- Ability to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to lift, move, and place items weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Continuous authorization to work in the United States for the duration of the internship.
- Commitment to the full 12-week, full-time internship program.
