About the role#
This is a student worker position based at the University of Pikeville. You will support food service and catering operations on campus. This role is open to students across various fields of study, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Chemistry, Nutrition, and Kinesiology.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and assemble food items using standardized recipes.
- Set up and break down workstations, including prep tables and service counters.
- Clean and sanitize work areas to meet safety standards.
- Store food products properly.
- Serve customers while maintaining a positive demeanor.
- Replenish food items to ensure proper stock levels.
- Follow company safety policies and protect company assets.
What you'll need#
- Ability to demonstrate guest service skills.
- Must hold or be willing to acquire a food safety certification.
- Previous experience in food service is preferred but not required.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment as required.
