About the role#
This position is for a student worker in food service or catering at North Greenville University. You will help prepare food and manage service operations on campus. This role is open to students from various academic backgrounds, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nutrition, Real Estate, Psychology, Sociology, and Graphic Design.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and build food items using standardized recipes.
- Set up workstations such as prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
- Serve food to customers and assist with their needs.
- Store food items correctly according to established standards.
- Replenish food stock to maintain appropriate levels.
- Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations after use.
- Follow all company safety policies, including food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a positive demeanor and provide service to guests and co-workers.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing or walking for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment as required.
