    About the role#

    This position is open to students interested in gaining experience in food service and catering at the Tsongas Center. It is a paid, on-site role with a rolling application window. We welcome students from various academic backgrounds, including Cybersecurity, Human Resources, Business Administration, and Civil Engineering.

    What you'll do#

    • Prepare and build food items by following standardized recipes and directions.
    • Set up workstations like prep tables, service counters, hot wells, and steam tables.
    • Serve food to customers while anticipating their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
    • Store food properly according to safety standards.
    • Replenish food items to keep stock at appropriate levels.
    • Break down, clean, and sanitize workstations after use.
    • Maintain a positive demeanor when interacting with guests, clients, and co-workers.
    • Adhere to safety policies, including food safety and sanitation guidelines.
    • Ensure the security of company assets.

    What you'll need#

    • Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
    • Ability to obtain a food safety certification.
    • Strong guest service skills.
    • Ability to meet physical demands such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of standing or walking.
    • Willingness to wear a uniform or use personal protective equipment as required.

    • Location: Lowell, Massachusetts.
    • Work Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: $15.00 to $16.00 per hour.
