About the role#
This is a part-time food service position for students at the University of Delaware. You will work on-site during the Summer 2026 term. This role is open to students across various fields of study, including Civil Engineering, Business Administration, Nursing, Nutrition, Human Resources, and Communications.
What you'll do#
- Prepare food items by following standardized recipes and directions.
- Serve food to customers and focus on guest satisfaction.
- Keep food items stocked and replenished as needed.
- Store food according to safety standards.
- Set up, break down, clean, and sanitize workstations.
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
- Maintain a positive demeanor when interacting with guests and coworkers.
What you'll need#
- Ability to obtain or hold a food safety certification.
- Strong guest service skills.
- Previous experience in food service is helpful but not required.
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to wear a uniform or required personal protective equipment.
