About the role#
As a Chemical Process Engineering Intern, you will work on a project focused on improving a key area of the plant. You will receive daily guidance from the Technical Services Manager or a designated mentor. Your work will support plant goals, and you will present your findings to the factory leadership team at the end of the term.
What you'll do#
- Complete a project focused on improving a key plant area.
- Collaborate with the Hilliard production operations teams.
- Communicate good science practices to business operations support teams.
- Monitor, direct, and validate equipment and installations.
- Summarize your projects and learnings for the factory leadership team.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Currently in your junior year or have completed your junior year.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA, both cumulative and within your major.
- Ability to work independently and make autonomous decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams.
- Capability to build relationships across different functions.
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Ability to climb ladders and walk catwalks.
- Unlimited authorization to work in the United States.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid, rolling internship based on-site in Hilliard, Ohio.
- Travel for this role is less than 10%.
