    About the role#

    This unpaid internship provides hands-on experience within a Division I athletic department. You will work alongside full-time staff to support 30 varsity programs at the United States Military Academy. The program focuses on professional development and career exploration in sports nutrition, offering exposure to nutrition counseling, athlete performance plates, and supplementation strategies.

    What you'll do#

    • Assist the Director of Performance Nutrition with sports nutrition research.
    • Stock and maintain nutrition fuel stations.
    • Collaborate with the assistant sports dietitian to prepare weekly nutrition snacks like overnight oats and energy balls.
    • Create and lead team nutrition education talks.
    • Communicate with strength coaches, athletic trainers, and department administration.
    • Develop professional writing skills by creating materials to promote health and nutrition messages.

    What you'll need#

    • Must be 18 years of age or older.
    • Current college student or enrolled by September 2026.
    • Strong interest in college athletics and sports nutrition.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
    • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and communicate effectively.
    • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules.

    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: This is an unpaid internship. Interns are not employees and do not receive wages or benefits.
    • Academic Credit: May be eligible for academic credit depending on your institution requirements.
