About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Aviation Civil Engineering Intern to join the team in Tampa, Florida. This position offers mentorship and hands-on experience working alongside engineering staff on airport and related civil infrastructure projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in the design and production of engineering plans and specifications for runways, taxiways, aprons, and parking lots.
- Contribute to airfield geometric design, pavement design, and airport lighting projects.
- Perform construction field observations at project sites.
- Attend weekly construction meetings.
- Assist with project quantity take-offs.
- Participate in the Explore intern development initiative.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering program at an accredited institution.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- A commitment to upholding engineering ethics and standards of conduct.

- Location: Tampa, Florida.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $25 to $31 per hour, depending on skills and experience.
- This is a paid, part-time internship.
