About the role#
Miller Valentine Construction hires Co-ops to work on-site in Dayton or Cincinnati. This is a paid, full-time position with rolling start dates. We do not provide sponsorship for this role.
What you'll do#
- Assist with estimating tasks like quantity takeoffs, bid solicitation, and bid comparisons.
- Support the team with scope change estimates and specification writing.
- Review shop drawings to check for accuracy.
- Take notes during customer and project meetings.
- Assemble and review As-Built drawings and Operations and Maintenance manuals.
- Update and manage project schedules using scheduling software.
- Use AutoCAD for conceptual design tasks.
- Support Superintendents during project execution.
- Research cost or process improvements.
- Organize project documentation and assist with vendor coordination and project buy-out.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
