About the role#
Keystone Consulting Engineers, Inc. offers paid internships for students to gain practical experience in civil engineering and surveying. You will work alongside experienced professionals on real projects. Assignments are based on your academic background, interests, and current project needs. This position is on-site, with scheduling based on your school commitments and our project requirements.
What you'll do#
- Assist with plans, drawings, calculations, reports, and project documentation.
- Support research related to properties, ordinances, permits, or regulatory requirements.
- Help organize field data, project files, maps, and technical information.
- Participate in site visits, field observations, survey work, or construction-related assignments.
- Work with project teams to learn how assignments move from planning and design through review and construction.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, GIS, environmental science, geology, construction management, or a related program.
- Interest in civil engineering, surveying, municipal services, or related technical work.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to ask questions and learn from feedback.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or GIS is preferred.
