About the role#
AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Roadway Engineering Intern for our office in Dallas, Texas. This is a part-time, paid internship scheduled for Summer 2027. You will work on-site and gain hands-on experience by supporting our engineering team on various transportation projects.
What you'll do#
- Provide administrative and operations support to the Roadway Engineering staff.
- Assist engineers with plan production tasks.
- Perform simple drafting and CAD assignments based on detailed instructions.
- Coordinate operations within the unit to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
What you'll need#
- You must have completed at least 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential for collaborating in our multidisciplinary environment.
- You should have good computer skills and a genuine interest in transportation and roadway design.
- A willingness to learn engineering design software, standards, and best practices is important.
- Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation is preferred but not required.
