About the role#
This is a full-time, 10 to 12-week internship running from May through August 2027. You will work alongside project managers to gain hands-on experience in construction activities. The scope of work may range from a single large project to several smaller ones.
What you'll do#
- Prepare technical documentation, including reports, RFI’s, and submittals.
- Support project engineers with task coordination, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to verify installations and confirm adherence to design specifications.
- Identify and troubleshoot engineering issues during design and implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, designers, and project managers.
- Take meeting minutes and document substitution requests.
- Assist project managers in developing client relationships.
- Prepare and maintain productivity reports.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops.
What you'll need#
- A bachelor’s degree in construction management, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Science, Architectural Engineering, or a similar field is preferred.
- Relevant technical or administrative experience in HVAC, piping, and plumbing.
- Knowledge of construction engineering technology, processes, and standards.
- Strong team orientation and a collaborative spirit.
- Self-motivation and the ability to drive results.
- Effective communication skills and basic business acumen.
- The ability to proactively identify problems and propose solutions.
Location & details#
- Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: $19 to $23 per hour.
- Requirements: You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. The role involves physical demands such as walking on uneven surfaces, climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling.
