    About the role#

    As a Marketing and Communications Intern, you will join the team responsible for telling the story of U.S. Engineering to internal and external audiences. You will gain hands-on experience in corporate communications, content development, graphic design, digital marketing, events, and brand management while contributing to real projects used across the company. This role reports to the Marketing Manager.

    What you'll do#

    • Act as the communications lead for the summer intern group community project.
    • Research recently completed projects to tell their stories in proposals and on the company website.
    • Interview team members and subject-matter experts to gather information.
    • Create written and visual content for the website, social media, the intranet, and the internal newsletter.
    • Assist with graphic design and the development of marketing materials.
    • Help coordinate internal and external events.
    • Apply brand standards consistently across all materials.
    • Gain exposure to video production in offices, on job sites, and in manufacturing facilities.

    What you'll need#

    • At least two years toward a bachelor degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
    • Current standing as a junior or senior.
    • A creative and curious mindset.
    • Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
    • The ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines at once.

    Location & details#

    • This role is based in the Kansas City, Missouri office.
    • This is a full-time, paid internship.
    • The position requires occasional day trips between construction job sites, offices, and manufacturing facilities.
    • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
