About the role#
The Materials Intern supports the Materials and Supply Chain team in maintaining efficient material flow at our facility. This role provides direct exposure to inventory management, logistics, production support, and process improvement. You will assist with tracking materials, maintaining inventory records, and supporting launch activities. This position offers experience with ERP and warehouse management systems while working alongside cross-functional teams.
What you'll do#
- Identify packing discrepancies and communicate space constraint issues.
- Track material flow for all parts using Excel spreadsheets.
- Optimize material flow and monitor movement throughout the facility.
- Receive and process incoming materials.
- Use scan guns to track and manage material movements.
- Process material transactions in ERP and WMS systems.
- Perform audits and cycle counts.
- Support MGO and AMTS activities.
- Assist with launch builds and related material tasks.
- Track and report the status of assigned projects.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited college as at least a fourth-year student.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Pursuit of a bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field.
