About the role#
Bank of China USA is hiring an intern for the Human Resources Department. This role focuses on employee management and supports various HR functions across the bank. You will assist in implementing policies and procedures while gaining exposure to recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations.
What you'll do#
- Manage full cycle recruitment, including creating job postings, screening resumes, coordinating interviews, and communicating with hiring managers.
- Analyze staffing needs by reviewing new hire applications and job descriptions.
- Lead new hire onboarding sessions, collect required documentation, and maintain personnel files.
- Facilitate termination processes, including access deactivation and exit interviews.
- Coordinate investigations into employee complaints or concerns and report findings to management.
- Assist with ad hoc projects and support internal audits as needed.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree required at the time of hiring. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Background in Human Resources or Business Administration.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with employment law, EEOC requirements, and banking industry practices is preferred.
- HR certifications like SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR are a plus.
- Previous internship experience is preferred.
